Jan McLean has been
designing dolls since 1986. The Lollipop Girls
are her gift to girls everywhere. These 12" dolls are
created with the same fine attention to design and detail as
all Jan McLean Originals.
The Lollipop Girls
began as sketches. New Zealand doll designer, Jan
McLean first saw her inspiration on the streets of Paris,
France.
"A young girl was
sitting outside a cafe playing a violin that had a puppet
attached by a string to the bow. It danced in time to
her music. She was so cute, this girl, and I stood
watching her for a long time. She said she had been
called a lollipop at school because she was tall and thin and
had a big head and eyes."
That was the
inspiration...
The Lollipop Girls are
downsized 12" vinyl replicas of Jan McLean's ever
popular 26" Lollipop Girl porcelains. Each doll features
soft rooted hair and can be posed at the knees, waist,
shoulders and elbows.
